I think Standard #3 disclosure of relationship may be more important than standard #2. The relationship may explain a marketer’s motivations more than the specific details of compensation. Disclosure of identity (Standard #1) could be easily manipulated since businesses, associations and nonprofits may be structured in such a way that it’s difficult to find out who founded the organization, funds it, controls it, etc.
