Genuine Honesty in Communication
WOMMA calls for the standard of honesty in communication. I think that this is important in any word of mouth or social media marketing campaign. Many consumers have had reason to doubt that people are being honest in their push of a product, and rightly so. Especially with word of mouth marketing, it is important to not influence people with what to say and promote. It is important to allow both the good and the bad to come out and to address both appropriately. I think that this is an important standard for any marketing campaign, and having used word of mouth marketing in the past, I know that it is important to not influence what people say - it allows consumers to be much more comfortable with the person/people who are promoting a product.
