Perfect Recipes!

Ever wanted to make the perfect gourmet dish to surprise a significant other, friend or family? How about if you could do it without having to practice and be 100% confident it will be delicious? That's what Cook's Illustrated as done for me! I've tried many other cookbooks and magazine subscriptions only to confirm that Cook's has it figured out. They focus on testing each recipe many different ways, explain their reasoning and then list the perfect recipe! Not only that but they constantly come up with new unique dishes from around the world with ingredients you can find at your local supermarket.

After years of fine dining from dating and corporate functions it was time to figure out how to make over the top meals at home. I knew I was on to something when my husband finally started eating leftovers. Think about how exciting and interesting dinner could be with a simple Spaghetti al Limone, Gambas al Ajillo (Spanish Garlic Shrimp) or Doro Wat (Ethiopian Chicken Stew). Additionally, Cook's focuses on the right techniques to help you with anything from the consistency of mashed potatoes, rolling empanadas or perserving guacamole.

Perhaps it's the analyst/chemist in me to know why and how they decide the details/ingredients for each recipe but Cook's easy to follow and VERY TASTY recipes is helping me understand and actually made it fun to cook again. I hope you will give it a try!
